Bangladeshi citizens who are interested in overseas employment can create an Employee Profile on the Overseas Employment Platform (OEP). A complete profile may include education, training, skills, certificates, language level, work experience, and relevant documents. Keeping your profile accurate and updated helps verified employers and authorized officials assess whether your skills match available overseas employment opportunities.

At this stage, jobseekers cannot directly view EU job demand or browse EU job vacancies through OEP. OEP currently allows workers to create and update their profiles. Verified employers or authorized users may review relevant worker profiles through the official process. If a worker is shortlisted, the next steps will depend on the employer’s requirements, the destination country’s rules, and the official migration procedures of the Government of Bangladesh.

Verified employers or authorized users may view relevant profiles on OEP after completing the required registration and approval process. Your profile may show information such as your certified skills, training, qualification level, language level, work experience, and assessment results. To protect your privacy, sensitive personal information such as national identity number, passport number, home address, phone number, and personal contact details should not be publicly visible. Such information is shared only through the official process and only when required for recruitment, visa, or migration procedures.

Requirements depend on the occupation, employer, and destination country. In general, overseas employers may look for technical skills in a specific occupation, recognized skills or training certificates, relevant work experience, basic language skills for the destination country, a valid passport, medical fitness where required, a job offer or employment contract, a work visa or work permit, and BMET clearance before departure. You should never travel abroad for work without a valid work visa, proper employment documents, and BMET clearance.

Government and approved training providers in Bangladesh offer training in different occupations based on overseas labour market demand. Training may include technical skills, language, soft skills, workplace safety, and pre-departure orientation. Pre-departure orientation is important because it explains your rights, responsibilities, employment contract, destination country rules, and how to seek help if you face problems abroad.

You should always follow official procedures for overseas employment. Be careful if anyone promises a guaranteed job, asks for large payments, offers a tourist visa for work, or refuses to provide a written contract. Before accepting any offer, check whether the recruitment agency is licensed, ask for a written job offer or employment contract, read the contract carefully before signing, do not hand over your passport to anyone for safekeeping, do not pay unauthorized or unexplained fees, and verify information through BMET, DEMO, MoEWOE, or other official government channels. If an offer sounds too good to be true, it may be fraudulent.
