Meet Sumaiya

Sumaiya Khatun, 26, chose caregiving because she spent two years caring for her grandmother at home. Today she is a certified professional. She completed her Level 3 certification in Caregiving under the Bangladesh National Qualifications Framework (BNQF), assessed and certified through the National Skills Development Authority (NSDA) system.

Sumaiya is trained to support elderly people in daily living: personal care, safe movement and transfer, feeding support, medication reminders, and hygiene. She also learned first aid, infection prevention, and how to communicate with patients and families with patience and respect. She speaks English at A2 level and is now learning Italian.

Her trainers describe her as gentle, attentive, and completely dependable.
